Armed Forces Covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the Nation that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly.

The Armed Forces Covenant has provided employers with an opportunity to acknowledge their support for the Armed Forces Community; it aims to ensure that no member of the Armed Forces faces disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services.

More than 300 employers in the North East have signed the Armed Forces Covenant. This includes businesses, local authorities, charities and community organisations.

They support past and present Service personnel in a variety of ways, such as: discounted services, flexible HR policies for deployment and specially themed projects.
