NE RFCA Board’s presentation to Mrs Sue Snowdon.
On Wednesday 2 December 2020, NE RFCA Chairman, Col Gordon Straughan, presented Mrs Sue Snowdon, our outgoing President and Lord Lieutenant of County Durham, with a memento of her time in office.
A gift from current and former members, the framed, calligraphic artwork on vellum, displayed the names of Vice-Presidents and Board Members, including Brigade Commanders, who had served during her tenure as President. A delighted Mrs Snowdon said she was: “absolutely thrilled to receive such a gift”, and thanked everyone who contributed to it. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as President, and have learned so much; a wonderful five years, and now this amazing surprise. Thank you.”
