Announced by the MOD on 11 July 2022, these employers join a growing alliance of the most supportive organisations of Britain’s Armed Forces from both the private and public sectors.

Minister for Defence People Leo Docherty said:

“Regardless of size, location or sector, employing members of the Armed Forces community is good for businesses.

“These awards recognise the outstanding support for our Armed Forces from employers across the UK and I would like to thank and congratulate each and every one.”

Edward Dean, the Volunteer Chief Executive Officer of Anxious Minds, a veteran of 22 years’ service, said:

“It was fantastic news to hear that Anxious Minds has won another award for its work with Veterans and their Families - the Gold Award, under the Employers Recognition Scheme run by the MOD as part of the Covenant.”

“We are delighted with this Award, and it coincides with the other three National Awards we have won for our work with the Veteran community over the last 12 months and highlights the support that we have given to Veterans and their Families, Reservists and a number of people that we employ within our staff.  The prestigious Gold Award is a real recognition for the work our veterans’ team does across the Armed Forces Community.”
